Colyn
started flying at Biggin Hill in the autumn of 1975 with Air Touring Club,
flying Rallyes and first going solo in the September of 1976.
Following a five year break, whilst he was setting up his Company, he
recommenced training with Rochester Aviation flying in Robins.
In the spring of 1988 he gained his PPL.
Colyn
then converted to Tiger Moths in June 1988 at the Cambridge Flying Group,
flying his first solo after 8 hours training.
Having flown a total of 14 types of
aircraft Colyn prefers to fly tail draggers, his favourite aircraft being the DH82a
(Tiger Moth).
Colyn
started display flying in 1998 in D31 (Turbs) and added S.O.W (Standing
on the Wing) to his D.A. (Display Authorisation) in 2001.
His ambitions include
attaining national Standard in aerobatics and adding this to his DA in a
Tiger Moth.
